Mark Redman carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning at Camden Yards where the
Philadelphia Phillies beat the Seattle Mariners by the score of 11 to
5.

Redman(1-0) pitched a fine game.  He went 6 and 2/3 innings surrendering 3
hits and 2 walks.  The left-handed Redman lost his chance for a no-hitter
when Bobby Kielty singled with two outs in the 6th inning.  Philadelphia had
17 hits for the night while Seattle had 6.  

The losing pitcher was Orlando Hernandez(0-1).  He was unable to control the
Philadelphia offense and allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.

at Coors Field, taking a 3-0 series lead.

Aaron Rowand and Mike Lieberthal both hit home runs off Mariner starter
Jamie Moyer(0-1) to take the lead.  The Phillies bullpen then hung on for
the win as Mike Remlinger notched the save.

Eric Chavez hit a three-run homerun to help give Philadelphia a 4-1 win in the
7th game of the series.  Seattle which had come back from a 3-0 series
deficit was never able to mount an offense.

Jason Jennings(1-0) pitched six solid innings for the win.  Luis Vizcaino
pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for the save.

Seattle's O.Hernandez(0-2) pitched well, but suffered the loss.
