Magglio Ordonez collected 2 extra-base hits and Randy Johnson mowed down 12
Philadelphia batters as the Arizona club beat the Philadelphia Phillies by a
score of 4 to 3.

Johnson(2-2) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He didn't allow much,
just 5 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings and gave up 2 homeruns lowering his ERA
from 5.72 to 4.82. Arizona banged out 11 on the night.

Mark Redman(1-3) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 7 hits and 1 walk in 4
innings. Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Johnson - except
Philadelphia. OPEN lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our
guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes
it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
