Adam Kennedy connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI as the Anaheim Angels
topped the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 9 to 7 at Coors Field.

Kevin Appier(1-0) contributed a pedestrian performance to earn the win. He
was reached for 4 hits and 1 walk in 5 innings. Due to a poorly pitched
ballgame, scoring in 5 different innings was still not enough for
Philadelphia to come away with the victory.

Jorge Julio earned the save, his 1st. The loss was charged to Javier
Vazquez(0-1). He served up 3 homeruns in his 5 and 2/3 innings.
