Todd Hollandsworth hit a homerun and had 2 RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals
defeated the Houston Astros by the score of 10 to 3 at The Skydome.

St. Louis jumped out to the early lead in the first inning as they scored 3
runs on 3 base hits.  The critical plate appearance was by Hollandsworth who
quieted the home crowd when he lifted one out of the park for a two run home
run (his 1st of the season).  Overall St. Louis out-hit Houston 12 to 8.

The win was credited to Jake Westbrook(1-1) who went 7 innings allowing 3
runs. Jeff Weaver(0-1) ended up with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 6
hits and 5 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.

In a close game it was the St. Louis Cardinals 4, the Houston Astros 2 in 10
innings at The Skydome.

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings.  St. Louis was victorious in
the 10th inning.  J.D. Drew led off and started the rally when he stroked a
base-hit.  After an out was recorded, Jim Edmonds stepped up to the plate and
he doubled, and an error was also committed.  Todd Hollandsworth then was
walked intentionally.  Paul Konerko dug into the batters box next, but he
struck out.  Both teams ended up with 8 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory went to Troy Percival(1-1) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Armando Benitez recorded his 2nd save.  Octavio Dotel(1-1) ended up with the
loss in relief.  He was a hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run
in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.

St. Louis Cardinals beat the Houston Astros 11 to 6.

St. Louis went ahead for good in the 5th inning when they tallied 3 runs on 4
hits.  The highlight belonged to Drew who came through for the home fans when
he stroked a single scoring two baserunners.  Houston was out-hit by St.
Louis, 18 hits to 14.  

The victory went to Jake Westbrook(2-1) who went 5 innings, allowing 5 runs.
Jeff Weaver(0-2) absorbed the loss.  He allowed St. Louis 7 runs in 4 innings

At Bank One Ballpark, the St. Louis faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel.  Dontrelle Willis(2-0) finally bested his Houston
counterpart, Tom Glavine(1-1), by the score of 2 to 1.

Willis delivered a fine performance for St. Louis.  He went 7 innings
surrendering 6 hits and 2 walks lowering his ERA to 2.77.  St. Louis had just
5 hits for the night.  

Armando Benitez got the save, his 3rd.  Glavine was charged with the loss.  He
surrendered 2 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings.
