Ray Durham cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Bank One Ballpark where the
Atlanta Braves beat the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 13 to 8.

Durham was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He banged out a single in the 1st inning, blasted a
two-run home run in the 2nd inning, blasted a solo shot (his 4th of the
season) in the 4th inning and lashed a one-base hit in the 5th inning.
Atlanta had 15 hits for the night.

John Thomson(4-0) allowed 5 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Jake Westbrook(3-2) was the loser. He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 8 hits and 4 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.

'I just got in the box, looked for a pitch and swung,' Durham said. 'That's
it'
