Carlos Lee had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Johan Santana reeled off a total of
10 strikeouts as the Minnesota Twins beat the Seattle Mariners by a score of
6 to 1.

Santana(1-0) put on a good performance.  He allowed only 6 hits and 1 walk in
9 innings.  Minnesota rapped out 11 hits for the afternoon.  

Roy Oswalt(0-1) was the loser.  John Ferraro was upset after the game.  'I
don't like to complain but did you see that umpires strike zone?', he said.
'Maybe they ought to start calling the strike zone the way it's printed in

Roy Halladay carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Minnesota Twins
beat the Seattle Mariners in 13 innings by a score of 3 to 2.

Both teams were tied at 2 runs apiece after nine innings.  Minnesota came out
on top in the 13th inning.  Ichiro Suzuki tripled.  Tony Graffanino followed
and he slapped a base-hit making Minnesota victorious to the delight of the
the home town crowd.  Minnesota had 9 hits overall, while Seattle had 6.

Jered Weaver*(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2/3 of an
inning.  The right-handed Halladay had his no-hit bid broken up by Dave
Roberts who homered with two outs in the 6th inning.  The loss was charged to
Mike Myers(0-1) in relief.

Jose Reyes had 2 base hits as the Seattle Mariners pulled out a win over the
Minnesota Twins by a score of 4 to 3 at Camden Yards.

The game was won by Seattle with a run in the 9th inning.  Jose Valentin
smacked a single.  Yadier Molina came to the plate and laid down a sacrifice
bunt.  Reyes then doubled resulting in an exciting win for Seattle and a wild
post-game celebration by the home town fans.  Seattle finished with 10 hits
in the victory.  

The win went to Francisco Rodriguez(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 1 inning. Todd
Jones(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  He pitched 1/3 of an inning
and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.

The deciding run was scored by Minnesota in the top of the 9th.  After two
were out Craig Counsell reached on an error.  Carlos Lee came to the plate
and hit a single.  Ortiz then reached on an error.  Both teams totaled 13
hits on the night.  

The win was credited to Josh Beckett(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing no runs.
Todd Jones recorded his 1st save.  Scott Proctor(0-1) was tagged with the
loss in relief.  He was pinned with the loss despite not allowing an earned
run in his 1 and 1/3 innings of work.

Tropicana Field where the Minnesota Twins beat the Seattle Mariners by the
score of 5 to 1.

Minnesota claimed the early lead in the first inning as they scored 2 runs on
3 base hits.  That was all the runs Harang(1-0) needed.  Minnesota finished
with 11 hits in the victory.
