Huston Street(1-0) blanked the Chicago White Sox at Yankee Stadium.  The
Washington Nationals scored managed just one run for the victory.

Felix Hernandez(0-1) gave up the game's only run when Washington scored in the
bottom of the 6th inning.  Ivan Rodriguez delivered a single.  Todd Helton
stepped into the batter's box and he smacked a single.  Carlos Beltran struck
out, unable to help the rally.  Justin Duchscherer then was wild with a
pitch.  Chicago proved to be no trouble in the 9th.  

Trevor Hoffman was credited with his 1st save.

In a close game it was the Washington Nationals 6, the Chicago White Sox 4 at
Yankee Stadium.

In the bottom of the 4th inning Washington scored 2 runs. The highlight
belonged to Scott Rolen who made the crowd happy when he cleared the fences
for a two-run home run.  Chicago had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.  

The win went to Francisco Liriano(1-0) who allowed 3 runs in 6 innings.
Liriano got help from Trevor Hoffman who earned his 2nd save.  Daniel
Cabrera(0-1) was the losing pitcher.  He gave up 8 hits and 1 walk in 5
innings.

David Wright went deep and had 3 RBI at Comerica Park where the Chicago White
Sox beat the Washington Nationals 5 to 2.

Chicago took the lead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs
on 2 hits.  After two were out Emil Brown started the rally when he reached
on an error.  Alex Gonzalez stepped up next and he doubled, and an error was
also committed.  Ronny Paulino then laced a base-knock.  Both teams finished
the game with 7 hits.  

The victory went to Jeremy Bonderman(1-0) who went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Aaron Heilman was credited with his 1st save.  Pedro Martinez(0-1) suffered
the loss.  He allowed 5 runs and 7 hits in 8 innings.
