Johan Santana held Atlanta to 2 hits as the Minnesota Twins outscored the
Atlanta Braves 5 to 1.

Atlanta fell behind quickly as the Minnesota offense came through in the first
inning with 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits. Ichiro Suzuki led off and keyed
the rally when he smacked a single. Tony Graffanino was next to the plate,
but was promptly struck out. After another out, David Ortiz stepped up to
the plate and he smashed a two-run homer. That early run support was enough
for Santana(2-0) and Minnesota. Minnesota managed 11 hits in their victory.

Mike Mussina(2-1) took the loss. He surrendered 8 hits and 2 walks in 6
innings. 'All of my pitches were working tonight,' Santana said. 'I felt
really good out there, and heck, I think I could have gone longer.'
