In a close game the Minnesota Twins got by the Anaheim Angels by the score of
4 to 2.

Carlos Lee had a big day with his bat.  He doubled which plated a run in the
1st inning and clubbed a three-run home run in the 5th inning.  Minnesota had
8 hits for the night.  

Johan Santana(4-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Todd Jones gained
credit for his 4th save.  Brett Myers(3-2) was hit with the loss.  He pitched
6 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 7 hits and 2 walks.

'It wasn't my best outing, but I'll take the win' Santana said.

Bobby Abreu went yard and had 2 RBI as the Anaheim Angels defeated the
Minnesota Twins by a score of 12 to 8 at Edison Int'l Field.

Anaheim took the lead for good in the bottom of the 6th inning as they scored
2 runs on 1 base hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Abreu who
electrified Edison Int'l Field when he lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run.  Both teams finished the game with 15 hits.  

The win went to Chris Ray(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Joe
Nathan recorded his 6th save.  The loss was charged to Jered Weaver*(1-2) in
relief.

The Anaheim Angels toppled the Minnesota Twins by a 6 to 2 score at Tropicana
Field.

Anaheim had 3 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning when they had 3 base
hits.  Alfonso Soriano got things going when he cracked a solo homerun.  Two
outs later Jason Bartlett stepped up to the plate and he reached on an error.
Corey Patterson then stroked a single.  Bobby Abreu followed and he doubled.
Anaheim finished with 11 hits while Minnesota ended up with 6.  

Noah Lowry(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 6 innings. Aaron
Harang(1-2) was the loser.  He surrendered 4 runs and 8 hits in 6 innings.

Johan Santana was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at Tropicana Field where the Minnesota Twins beat the Anaheim
Angels 2 to 1.

Minnesota jumped on top of Anaheim in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring one
runner utilizing 2 base hits.  Minnesota finished with 8 hits in the victory.

The win went to Santana(5-0) who allowed 1 run in the game. Boof Bonser(1-1)
took the loss.  He allowed 2 runs and 6 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings.

surrendering 5 hits and 3 walks lowering his ERA to 4.83.  Minnesota had a
chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

Corey Patterson hit a homerun and had 3 RBI at Edison Int'l Field as the
Anaheim Angels won a thriller over the Minnesota Twins in, 6 to 4.

Anaheim scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning scoring 2 runs.  Maicer
Izturis led off the inning for Anaheim when he drew a walk.  Patterson
stepped into the batter's box and he cracked a two-run shot making Anaheim
the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration.  Anaheim totaled 11
hits on the night.  

Joe Nathan(1-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Josh
Beckett(1-1) was the loser in relief.  He gave up 1 hit and 1 walk without
retiring a batter.
