The Anaheim Angels tallied 4 runs in the 2nd inning and bested the Atlanta
Braves by a 7 to 3 score at Angels Stadium.

Adam Lind helped send the fans home happy.  He laced a base-hit bringing in
two baserunners in the 1st inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 2nd
inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 7th inning.  Anaheim had a
total of 11 hits for the game.  

John Lannan(1-0) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Joe
Nathan recorded the save, his 1st.  Jair Jurrjens(0-1) was charged with the
loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 6 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.

Nick Swisher knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Atlanta Braves topped the
Anaheim Angels by a score of 9 to 7 at Angels Stadium.

Swisher had a big day with his bat.  He cleared the fences for a two-run home
run in the 4th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two run home run
in the 7th inning.  Atlanta managed 12 hits in their victory.  

Josh Johnson(1-0) went 7 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Johnson got
relief help from Andrew Bailey who gained credit for his 1st save.  Kenshin
Kawakami(0-1) was charged with the loss.  He was not very effective,
surrendering 6 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings.

Trevor Cahill took a no-hitter into the 7th inning as the Anaheim Angels
defeated the Atlanta Braves 4 to 0 at Progressive Field.

Cahill(1-0) pitched a fine game.  He went 6 and 1/3 innings and surrended up 1
hit and 5 walks.  The right-handed Cahill had his no-hit bid broken up by
Matt Holliday who doubled with nobody out in the 7th inning.  Anaheim had
just 6 hits for the night.  

Brett Anderson(0-1) was hit with the loss.  He allowed 5 hits and 3 walks in 6
and 2/3 innings.

In a good matchup it was the Anaheim Angels 6, the Atlanta Braves 4 in 15
innings at Progressive Field.

Both teams were tied at 3 runs apiece after nine innings.  Anaheim ended up
winning it in the 15th inning.  After an out was recorded, Bobby Abreu
started the attack as he drew a walk.  Abreu got a good lead and stole
second.  One out later, Casey McGehee stepped up to the plate and he was
walked intentionally.  Nick Markakis followed next and he launched a
three-run homer.  Anaheim rapped out 10 hits for the night.  

Joe Nathan(1-0) was the winner allowing 1 run in 4 innings. Sean Burnett(0-1)
was hit with the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 inning allowing 1 hit and 2
