In an embarrassing outing for the Anaheim Angels pitching staff, Kansas City
Royals flexed their collective muscle amassing 14 runs as Cliff Lee(2-0)with
bullpen support allowed Anaheim 4 runs.

Magglio Ordonez had a big day against Anaheim.  He doubled clearing the bases
in the 3rd inning, smashed a two-run homer in the 7th inning and laced a
single in the 8th inning.  Kansas City finished with 15 hits while Anaheim
ended up with 8.  

John Lannan(1-1) was the loser.  He was not very effective, surrendering 5
runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.  'Everything seemed to click today,' Ordonez said
'if it could only be this easy all the time!'

Teixeira had a big evening at the plate.  He laced a base-hit knocking in a
run in the 3rd inning, belted a three-run homer in the 5th inning and smacked
a single in the 8th inning.  Anaheim finished with 16 hits while Kansas City
ended up with 7.  

Kenshin Kawakami(1-1) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
Chad Billingsley(0-2) suffered the loss.  He was knocked around, surrendering
7 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings.

7.

Ramirez enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He doubled in the 5th inning and
rifled a three-run blast in the 8th inning.  Kansas City simply wore out the
Anaheim pitching staff, scoring in 6 different innings.  

The winning pitcher was Joakim Soria(2-0) who allowed 2 runs in 1/3 of an
inning. Jonathan Broxton earned the save, his 5th.  Peter Moylan(0-1) was the
loser in relief.
