Mike Trout had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Washington Nationals came back to
win one over Seattle Mariners, 6 to 5.

Washington had the game winning rally in the 9th inning as they scored 5 runs
on 4 base hits. The big moment was provided by Jeff Francoeur who deflated
the crowd as he lined a one-base hit which was good for two runs. Washington
managed 8 hits in their victory.

The win was credited to Cole Hamels(1-0) who went 8 innings allowing 5 runs.
Hamels was helped out by David Robertson who recorded his 1st save.
Francisco Rodriguez(0-1) took the loss in relief.

After the game, it took a long while before John Ferraro emerged from his
office. In a subdued tone he answered only a couple of questions. He
concluded with, 'Fellows, sorry I'm not in a very talkative mood this
afternoon, as I think you'll understand. I'm sure you'll find the banter a
lot more light-hearted over in the Washington locker room.'
