Ricky Nolasco struck out 13 batters at Nationals Park as the Cleveland Indians
beat the Boston Red Sox by the count of 2 to 1.

Nolasco(1-0) simply dominated Boston. He was stingy on the mound, allowing
just 4 hits and 1 walk in 8 and 2/3 innings. The teams had been locked in a
scoreless duel until the 7th inning.

Nolasco got relief help from Jim Henderson who gained credit for his 1st save.
Jose Fernandez(0-1) ended up with the loss. Nolasco was humble when
questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my
pitches tonight. But, I had great support behind me and I just threw what
was called. That was an extremely well called game!'
