Third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall had 2 base hits as the San Francisco Giants
bested the Philadelphia Phillies in 10 innings 3 to 1 at Wrigley Field.

The game was deadlocked at 1 after nine full innings.  San Francisco was
victorious in the 10th inning.  Joey Votto led off the inning for San
Francisco when he delivered a one-base hit.  Yasiel Puig followed and he
doubled.  Chisenhall then laced a base-hit scoring a run.  Chisenhall took
second on the throw.  Chris Coghlan was up next and he banged out a single
scoring the final run of the inning.  The Philadelphia batters went down
meekly in the bottom of the 10th.  

Zach Duke(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 inning. Craig
Kimbrel recorded his 1st save.  The loss was charged to Mark Melancon(0-1) in
relief.  He allowed 3 hits and no walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.

exciting one-run game at Wrigley Field.  The final score was the Philadelphia
Phillies 2, the San Francisco Giants 1 in 11 innings.

Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings.  Finally,
Philadelphia pulled the game out in the 11th inning.  After two were out
Kevin Kiermaier tripled.  Eric Hosmer next to the plate and he ripped a
base-hit giving Philadelphia the victory as 55,793 happy fans celebrated
wildly.  Philadelphia banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.  

Mark Melancon(1-1) got the win allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. The loss
was charged to Craig Kimbrel(0-1) in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an inning and
surrendered 2 hits and no walks.

San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 4 to
2.

San Francisco had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning
scoring 2 runs on 2 hits.  Jarrod Dyson led off the inning for San Francisco
when he laced a base-knock.  After an out was recorded, Chirinos stepped in
and he blasted a two-run home run.  Philadelphia out-hit San Francisco 8 to
5, but San Francisco ended up with more runs.  

Tom Wilhelmsen(1-0) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Craig
Kimbrel recorded his 2nd save.  R.A. Dickey(0-1) was the losing pitcher.

In a lop-sided win the San Francisco Giants ripped the Philadelphia Phillies
by a 7 to 1 count.

Philadelphia was unable to claim the lead after San Francisco went ahead in

offense they were to need.  San Francisco won despite being out-hit by
