In a close game the Toronto club got by the Boston Red Sox in 15 innings by
the score of 5 to 3.

The score was tied at 3 after nine.  Toronto ended up winning it in the 15th
inning.  Michael Conforto got things going when he ripped a single.  Yusmeiro
Petit stepped into the batter's box and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  One
out later, Logan Morrison then blasted a two-run home run.  Toronto totaled
10 hits on the night.  

Petit(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 3 innings. Brandon
Kintzler(0-1) was the loser in relief.  He pitched 1 inning allowing 2 hits
and no walks.

club beat the Boston Red Sox by the count of 10 to 7.

Joe Smith(1-0) won the game with a masterful relief performance.  He performed
flawlessly in relief in his 1 inning.  A wild and woolly affair, this game
saw the lead change 5 times.  

Sean Doolittle earned his 1st save.  Brandon Kintzler(0-2) absorbed the loss
in relief.  He surrendered 2 runs and 3 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.

Center fielder Charlie Blackmon had 2 base hits and Chris Sale mowed down 11
Toronto batters as the Boston Red Sox bested the Toronto club 4 to 3 at
Minute Maid Park.

Sale(1-0) pitched a fine game.  He allowed 6 hits and no walks in 6 and 2/3
innings and allowed 2 gopher balls.  Boston and Toronto each finished the
afternoon with 7 hits.  

Sale got help from Aroldis Chapman who earned his 1st save.  Yusmeiro
Petit(1-1) was the loser in relief.  Sale, when asked about his 11 strikeout
performance noted, 'The important thing is that we won, if I get 20 and we
lose, what good does it do our team? But, on the other hand, since we won it
feels great!'

Chris Archer dominated striking out 12 Toronto batters as the Boston Red Sox
defeated the Toronto ballclub by a score of 3 to 0 at Minute Maid
Park.

Boston erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning with 3 runs on 2
base hits.  Brett Gardner kicked off the action when he drew a walk.  After
an out was recorded, Blake Parker then let one slip out of his hand for a
wild pitch.  Charlie Blackmon then laced a single.  Blackmon took his lead
and swiped second.  Josh Donaldson stepped into the box and was walked
intentionally to load the bases.  J.D. Martinez dug into the batters box
next, but he struck out.  Mark Reynolds came next and he doubled plating
three runs.  Andrew Miller(1-0) got help from Aroldis Chapman who pitched
great and earned his 2nd save.  

Parker(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  He gave up 2 hits and 2
walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.

Boston Red Sox won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Toronto team at Nationals
Park pulling it out in their last at bats, 4 to 2.

Boston won the game with a rally in the bottom of the 9th inning scoring 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits.  After an out was recorded, J.D. Martinez began
the rally when he banged out a single.  Mark Reynolds followed next and he
cleared the fences for a two-run home run making Boston the victor and
beginning a joyous home town celebration.  Boston had a total of 8 hits for
the game.  

Matt Barnes(1-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. The loss was
charged to Juan Nicasio(0-1) in relief.  He gave up 2 hits and no walks in
1/3 of an inning.
