them all and had 2 RBI as the Cleveland Indians outscored the Toronto club 8
to 6.
Cleveland came up with 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning with the help of
5 hits. The big moment was provided by Sogard who made the crowd happy when
he clubbed a two-run home run. The Toronto bats were silent in the 9th.
The victory was credited to Matt Boyd(1-0) who went 5 innings, allowing 6
runs. Romo earned the save, his 4th. Lance Lynn(1-1) was the loser. He got
hit pretty hard, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Boyd, 'I got burned on a
couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
