53,796 fans watched an exciting game at Dodger Stadium.  The New York Yankees
topped the Los Angeles Dodgers by the slimmest of margins, 2 to 1.

The game was won by New York with a run in the top of the 8th inning.  Eric
Haase ripped a base-knock.  Berti then stole second base.  Christian Yelich
then reached on an error.  New York continued their aggressive style with
another stolen base.  Luis Arraez stepped into the box and hit a sacrifice
fly scoring the run.  Emmanuel Clase pitched a perfect ninth and was credited
with his 1st save.  

The win went to Jhoan Duran(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Kyle
Wright(0-1) was hit with the loss.  He surrendered only 2 runs and 4 hits in
7 innings.

Catcher Eric Haase slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the New York Yankees

New York came up with 5 runs in the top of the 3rd inning with the help of 5
hits.  That early run support was all that Jose Quintana(1-0) required.  Los
Angeles was retired without difficulty in the bottom of the 9th.  

Freddy Peralta(0-1) suffered the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 7

Second baseman Jeff McNeil jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI as the
New York Yankees defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in 11 innings by the score
of 7 to 5 at Petco Park.

The score was tied at 5 after nine.  New York came out on top in the 11th
inning.  After two outs Carlos Correa started the attack as he drew a walk.
Christian Bethancourt next to the plate and he blasted a two-run home run
giving New York the win much to the delight of the home town crowd.  New York
finished with 10 hits in the victory.  

Anthony Bass(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Luis Cessa(0-1)
took the loss in relief.  He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in 2 innings.
