Mike Trout cracked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Washington Nationals
clobbered the outmatched Minnesota Twins, 17 to 5.

Trout was in a groove all day. The Minnesota fans hated to see him
approaching the batter's box. He doubled in the 4th inning, launched a
three-run homer in the 5th inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 7th
inning. Washington bats were hot in the 5th inning which saw them score 8
runs on 6 hits. Minnesota scored in 5 different innings, but their shaky
pitching kept them from victory.

Cal Quantrill(1-0) was the winner allowing 5 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Austin
Voth(0-1) was given the loss in relief.
