Kyle Seager drew a walk. Michael Cuddyer struck out, unable to help the rally. Jeff Samardzija then let one get away for a wild pitch. After another out, Samardzija then threw a pitch that got away from the catcher scoring the run. Seattle was retired without difficulty in the bottom of the 9th. Quintana(2-1) got the win allowing no runs in 8 innings. Jake McGee preserved the game for Quintana, recording his his 5th save. Samardzija(3-1) was the losing pitcher. He was the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game. |
